MATH 1100 - PRECALCULUS MATHEMATICS |
Prerequisite:MATH SAT score of 570 or Accuplacer AAF score of 245, or GNM 1126 with a grade of C or better may not be taken concurrently, or FRST 2310 with a grade of C or better may not be taken concurrently.
Quantitative Reasoning Intensive course (Q1).
This course is designed for students who intend to take calculus and who do not yet possess complete mastery of such precalculus topics as functions and graphs; exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions; inverse functions. Students who do not intend to take calculus and who desire algebra review in preparation for work in statistics or other quantitative studies (such as BSNS 2120, Quantitative Business Methods) are advised to take GEN 1135, College Algebra, instead of MATH 1100. Precalculus students who intend to take Calculus I are strongly encouraged to do so in the semester immediately following completion of precalculus. Offered each term.
